The ListeningRoom hosts a variety of well established national and regional artists from different genres of music*.
Our space is different from other venues in the fact that the shows are held in a movement studio. This provides an intimate listening room environment that is truly unique and the sound is amazing. In addition it gives the artists a wonderful opportunity to connect with their audience and showcase their talent. No noisy bar chatter to compete with.
The listening audience is privileged to experience an intimate, personal show- close to the performers. Seating is primarily on the floor with a few chairs for people unable to sit on the floor. We provide Mexican blankets and yoga mats with pillows to sit on and a limited number of chairs. You may bring your own yoga mat or small folding chairs with a rug to set underneath- space permitting. Be prepared to take your shoes off when you arrive. No alcohol or smoking is permitted in the studio. Concession items are available for purchase. All ages welcome.

Your host, Corinne Tames, is a respected name in the Houston area music industry. She has over 30 years experience in various music industry jobs. Beginning as a teenager working and managing area record stores, she steadily advanced and was a Field Marketing Rep for Sony Music in the Houston area for 10 years. During her tenure there she won several awards including- Field Marketing Rep of the Year and forged several long lasting relationships with the artists she represented.
After Sony Music- Corinne worked many facets of the entertainment business including artist management, tour manager, promoter, booking agent and stage manager. Her friendship and management of the late Chris Whitley culminated with 2 Tribute Concerts in 2006 that honored Chris & his music. At those Tribute concerts she met Arc Angels frontman Charlie Sexton. Charlie was pivotal in giving Corinne a "new" vision and setting the wheels in motion. With a combined passion for music and several artists & friends that believed in the vision - the foundation of the ListeningRoom Concert Series was set.
Corinne books, promotes and works all the shows for the ListeningRoom exclusively. Because she understands the trials of touring, artists that play the NiaMoves venue are treated to an intimate experience that will not often be repeated in their career. With thank-you notes, homemade snacks, creative offers, and going the extra mile to promote the artists, Corinne’s priority is to give the artist a memorable experience on their hectic tour schedule and the audience a once in a lifetime chance to see their favorites up close and personal.
